LOS ANGELES, 4 Fev (Reuters) - A banda pop-punk Fall Out Boy anunciou nesta segunda-feira que lançará um novo álbum e sairá em turnê mundial, três anos depois de os seus quatro integrantes decidirem tirar um período sabático para se dedicarem a projetos individuais.
"Não é uma reunião porque nunca nos separamos", disse a banda em seu site.
O novo álbum, "Save Rock and Roll", será lançado mundialmente em 6 e 7 de maio. A turnê mundial começa na segunda-feira a noite, em Chicago.
Uma nova canção, "My Songs Know What You Did In the Dark (Light Em Up)", está disponível no iTunes.
O Fall Out Boy chegou à fama em 2005 com o álbum "From Under the Cork Tree". Sucessos como "Sugar, We're Goin Down" e "Dance, Dance" misturavam guitarras enfezadas e letras melancólicas. O grupo ainda lançou dois álbuns em 2007 e 2008, antes de parar em 2009.
O quarteto é formado por Pete Wentz (baixista e letrista), Patrick Stump (vocalista e guitarrista), Joe Trohman (guitarrista) e Andy Hurley (baterista).
